Ray Tracer
For my undergraduate class, CS 488, introduction to graphics, we had a big final project where we were able to choose to build something graphics related. I decided to opt into a ray tracer, where I made a Japanese temple inspired by 金閣寺 (Kinkaku-ji), meaning golden temple found in Kyoto. This included many different features including reflections, normal mapping, constructive solid geometry, L-system trees, etc.

More details are available in my report, found here:

My work resulted in a first-place finish for the Fall 2023 class, see other projects here: https://student.cs.uwaterloo.ca/~cs488/gallery-A5-2023-2024.html.
